ROOTSI PROHIBITED PRODUCTS & COMMUNITY POLICY

Rootsi supports responsible, lawful and respectful plant trading.

PROHIBITED PRODUCTS

Users may not list products that are unlawful to possess, sell or transport.

This may include:

• illegally collected plants;
• unlawfully traded protected species;
• prohibited invasive species;
• plants/products traded contrary to applicable CITES requirements;
• poached or illegally harvested plants;
• stolen products;
• counterfeit products;
• illegal substances;
• products knowingly misrepresented as another species or cultivar; and
• products presenting a serious legal or marketplace risk.

Sellers are responsible for permits or authorisations legally required for their products.

Rootsi may request documentation and remove a listing while investigating its legality.

COMMUNITY CONDUCT

Buyers and sellers must treat one another respectfully.

The following are prohibited:

• harassment;
• threats;
• discriminatory abuse;
• bullying;
• spam;
• scams;
• fraudulent reviews;
• fake accounts;
• auction manipulation;
• deliberately misleading listings;
• sharing another person’s private information without authority; and
• inappropriate or unlawful behaviour during Live Auctions.

REVIEWS

Reviews should represent genuine marketplace experiences.

Rootsi may remove fabricated, abusive, unlawful, irrelevant or manipulated reviews.

Rootsi will not remove a genuine negative review merely because it is unfavourable.

ENFORCEMENT

Depending on the circumstances, Rootsi may:

• issue a warning;
• remove content;
• remove a listing;
• restrict bidding;
• restrict selling;
• temporarily suspend an account; or
• terminate marketplace access.

Serious suspected unlawful activity may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
